The 7th Annual Virginia People’s Assembly (VPA) will take place Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.

Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church
1720 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23223

The Virginia People’s Assembly is an annual gathering of people from across Virginia who are engaged in a broad range of struggles. We are union members, community activists, prisoner advocates, immigrants, students, women, antiwar organizers, veterans, members of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and LBGTQ community – all working and fighting to win justice for our communities and constituencies. At the VPA, we find new friends and allies. We explain the issues we are involved in and hear about the struggles of others. Together we learn that the thing we hold in common – a burning desire for a better life for ourselves, our children and our communities – is far greater than anything we are told must divide us.

  1. Peace! To all those seeking truth, justice, and a change in the existing, oppressive system under which we now live, I strive to become part of this movement, and I’m humbled and honored to be linked-up with the Defender’s for FJ&E!!!

  2. Looking forward the social paradigm shift of this system! Much work & sacrifice ahead, but we know that those in power will concede nothing unless WE demand it! Hotep!

    • Thank you Christopher!

I believe Raise Up 15 has already endorsed! So glad you are on board.

      Looking forward,

      2015 VPA Organizing Committee
